Welcome
New Genesis is a Singles Ministry in the Carlisle area. It was founded by Marty Line and Carlisle area church leaders in July, 1993. Its mission statement is: “To provide a Christian environment in which singles in the Carlisle and surrounding areas may find community, social, and spiritual encouragement.” We welcome people of all faiths or those with no faith. Any person who is a single adult, never married, separated, divorced, widowed, or a single parent, is welcome to participate in New Genesis activities. We schedule weekly activities with a wide variety of interest. New Genesis will bring you into contact with other Christian single men and women to provide fellowship with one another.

Where are you in your life?
If we take a good look at our lives, we can see where God has been faithful and granted His wisdom and blessings in our lives. During my fourteen years as Director of New Genesis, I have seen over and over again the blessings on peoples' lives in the group. We have made many friends. You may lose a spouse, child, or a friend (all of which are very devastating to your life, but NO ONE can take Jesus from you if you have Him in your heart). When I think of Paul in prison, it reminds me that everything can be taken away from you, but NO ONE can take Jesus from you if you willingly and sincerely asked Him into your life.
If you are going through a storm right now in your life, ask God to walk with you to give you strength, wisdom, and understanding. It is during these storms in our lives that we reach out and draw closer to Him. Give God all the Glory, Honor, and Praise for all He has done in your life.
I would encourage you to tell your friends and coworkers about New Genesis. Invite them to some of our activities. New Genesis has made a difference in the lives of many individuals. For some it has become a second family. Singles know they are not out there alone; other individuals are experiencing some of the same difficulties. Individuals who have come into our circle of friendship have found the fellowship in New Genesis to be very rewarding.

We had a beautiful day for our Summer Kick-Off at the Carlisle Fish and Game on June 13th. The covered dishes supplied were delicious and there was a large variety to choose from. Line dance lessons were well received and everyone had a fun time learning. DJ Bob Yeingst was the DJ for our summer kick-off. This was our first spring event at the Fish and Game. Seventy-seven people attended, had a great time, and we will be sure to repeat this event next year. I want to express my sincere appreciation to everyone who helped at this event. This means a lot to our team. With team work, clean up gets done very quickly. Thanks!
We had a very successful Silent Auction and Lasagna Dinner. A sincere thanks to the 56 people who attended the dinner, bid on items, and supported us. After expenses we netted $973.73. A HUGE thanks to the Coordinating Team for donating the items for the auction. We have a GREAT team of TEN people who dedicate their lives in attending monthly meetings, planning and chairing activities, and providing YOU with events to attend. Without THEM New Genesis would not exist! Many of us have been on the team for years and we are looking for others who are willing to work at our activities and get more involved in our functions. Step forward and support us financially, as well as with your labor of hard work and love at our Summer Kick-off in June and our Pig Roast in September. We need YOU!Thanks to our Supporting Churches who have supported us over the years. We would not have existed without you.

Get Involved!
We attempt to schedule activities with a wide variety of interests to you. Our coordinating team plans activities for almost every weekend. Activities include breakfasts, picnics, boardgames, movies, bowling, hikes, candlelight dinners, silent auctions, pig roasts, dining out, and line dances and dances, and much more. New Genesis will bring you into contact with other Christian single men and women. It helps people adjust to singleness. Many have found New Genesis to be a safe place where they have found a family of friends. You can get involved, attend functions, help out at events, and provide intellectual and emotional support to others. You will realize that being single can be fun and rewarding. New Genesis will make a difference in your life. Come out to our activities and join in a family of friends.
